Service Description
This course meets the 15 hour live course that is required by the Texas Department of Public Safety – Private Security Board. The training requirements for a Personal Protection Officer license allow a Level III security officer to work in a bodyguard position. Subjects covered include: Principle protection (alone or in a team), threat detection and avoidance techniques, site surveys, route planning, movement techniques, and effective communication. *This course requires a practical application test for anyone working with Texas Veteran Security. The practical application test is no more than two hours and includes a driving test. As of June 2022 DPS requires Level IV instruction to be a live course.
